Anita Hill Talks About Sotomayor and Her Own Clarence Thomas Testimony

Anita Hill believes that the Obama administration nominee Sonia Sotomayor is a great choice due to her intellect, breadth of experience and respect for the rule of law. Hill was a year behind Sotomayor at Yale Law School and was very favorably impressed with her there, the two were never socially involved then or since.

  1. On Sonia Sotomayor :

We can accept, admire, like and love Moderate Republicans, unfortunately they are hidden lately.

This is from the "Colorado Independent" :

"Only eight percent of Americans agree with Tom Tancredo that Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor “is a racist,” according to a non-partisan poll released Friday. A majority ranks “empathy” as important for a Supreme Court justice and an even bigger majority says Sotomayor is qualified for the high court."

"The results, The Plum Line’s Greg Sargent writes, “strongly suggests that the two main right-wing talking points about Sonia Sotomayor are a bust.”

"Despite a barrage of attacks by Tancredo, Rush Limbaugh, Newt Gingrich and others characterizing Sotomayor as a racist, voters aren’t buying it, according to a telephone poll of 2,400 adults conducted by Research 2000 for Daily Kos."

So there is a divorce between the Extremist Republicans that appear in Fox News ( Newt Gingrich, Pat Buchanam, Tom Tancredo, etc ... ) and the Public.

Moderates are right in wishing for a better Republican Party, not Fox News or Rush Limbaugh !!

  2. Fred Barnes becoming an Old Senile Silly Man, Very Gaga, almost Alzhemier like.

I have an "Infallible Remedy" for Insomnia. Turn on the TV set on "Special Report" of Fox News with Fred Barnes and Charles Krauthammer.

These are the most boring guys in the Whole World. I call them the Mummy and the Zombie, in that order. They seem to be covered with dust and cobwebs as if living in the house of Miss Havisham in the novel "Great Expectations" of Charles Dickens.

And now Fred Barnes says that the success of Judge Sonia Sotomayor is due to "Affirmative Action" and he says that Imbecility with a lot of Derision and Despising that Lady, and feelings of superiority and self-satisfaction.

Fortunatley there are Great Journalists and a President of Princeton University that show in Salon.com the Imbecility of Fred Gagá, Gagá, Gagá Barnes.

Could you suggest a better lodging for Fred Barnes than the House of Miss Havisham, a house of Dust, Cobwebs, Old Furniture, Old Fashion, and Anger ( because Miss Havisham was very frustated, due to be left in Wedding Attire by her Fiancé )
